The admission test to music school

A last minute application for a composition profile at Kaggeholm school outside Stockholm, found me doing some entrance tests there today! At first I felt generally ten years too old as all of us hopefuls gathered in the small chapel in the morning, everyone seemed to just have finished school and had the music theory fresh in their heads. I didnt! The theory test was challenging but fun, and so was the playing test: I played bits of singing with guitar and piano and my flute did "my funny valentine", leaving me breatheless! I am not sure that the teachers ended up the same. They were mostly writing things down in notes, and were completely oblivious to my attempts to charm them with smiles and eyes. Why do I put myself in these most odd situations? I was like in Pop-idol but whithout the chance of exposure! Now I know what I have been avoiding when not taking the ordinary musician route in life. But the truth is I really want to develop my singing. Not sure the lovely surroundings of Kaggeholm will be the place though.

Cubase, Logic and Protools

Grunk Ma is currently in full time training and is updating herself on music technology and sequencing (recording) software. So there is little time to be visual, most time is spent learning Pro tools. I have made some cheesy songs and bits of music that hopefully I can upload here soon!

Night GRUK by Piet Hein

Danish Piet wrote thousands of Gruk, short poems and wise words. This one reads like something like this:
"How does it help
that hundreds
of people
want to
sleep
when there is
one single
dog,
that wants to
weep" (Should be bark but then it doesnt rhyme with sleep!)
